And together we shall walk, tall and fearless in this dark place.
This might just be Shar Celeste from my Night picture, but I'm not sure. A lot of my ideas are very nebulous. Either way, she's a product of the train of thought that began with Shar Celeste.
Spent pretty much all of today (and a bit of yesterday) working on this, to make up for the fact that I haven't uploaded anything for a while. Hit me with some con-crit if you fancy, though I don't think I can work on this piece further without jeopardizing my mental health.
And I think I might've found a method of digital painting that agrees with me, though I don't think you can really see it here. I might try something without lines soon.
Oh, and what's with that mega-shoddy background? I dunno, it's the only sort I make.
I think the impression of the background is more important than any detail you could have put in there. The nebulosity of the idea works well against the figure, supporting without distracting us. Not to mention your limited pallet here is gorgeous, for much the same reason. Overall, the effect is one almost mystical, a very tranquil and beautiful piece.
It's good.
also, I love your character design here.
